What is this feature?

YouTube Channel Invites let you stream live on YouTube channels you don’t personally own. This is especially useful if you manage content for clients or collaborate with brand partners. You can simply invite the channel owner to securely connect their YouTube channel to your LiveReacting account, and once it's connected, you’ll be able to stream on their behalf.

Why use this feature?

YouTube’s API only allows you to connect channels where you have owner access. If you’re a content creator, agency, or marketer managing streams for clients, this feature lets you stream on their channels without needing their login credentials or owner-level access. It’s a secure and simple way to collaborate without compromising account security.

How to Send an Invite

1. Go to Stream Settings → Connect Accounts → YouTube Channels
2. Click "Generate Invite Link" in the partner section

3. Copy the invite link and share it with the YouTube channel owner

4. They'll receive a secure connection page where they can authorize access

For Channel Owners (Receiving an Invite)

When you click an invite link, you'll see:
  - What permissions you're granting (stream management, basic channel info)
  - What you keep control of (channel settings, video uploads, branding)
  - How to revoke access anytime in your Google Account

  To connect:
  1. Click "Connect YouTube channel"
  2. Choose your Google account
  3. Select your YouTube channel
  4. Review and confirm permissions

Important Security Information

✅ Secure: Uses Google's official OAuth system - no passwords are shared
✅ Revokable: Remove LiveReacting access anytime at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions
✅ Limited scope: Only streaming permissions, not full channel access

After Connection

  - The channel appears in your LiveReacting account
  - You can create live streams on it like your own channels
  - The owner retains full control and can disconnect anytime
